Following the directive by president Museveni to stop public transport especially buses, taxis, Bodaboda riders for 14 days as a means of mitigating further spread of Corona virus, bodaboda riders in Soroti town have raised mixed reactions to the directive.
Our reporter this afternoon talked to some motorcycle Bodaboda who noted that government should help them with financial assistance such that they can switch to other acceptable business.
According to Richard Oculi the chairperson Bodaboda riders in Soroti district, the directive has affected those who are servicing loans.
He however blamed security operatives for beating and dispersing Bodaboda riders carrying goods.
William Wilberforce Tukei the RDC Soroti advised Bodaboda riders to heed to the presidents directives.
