Kaberemaido leaders urge government to fulfill the pledge of a ferry

The leaders of Kaberemaido district have raised concerns over the unfulfilled pledge of a ferry by the president and have reminded the government through the ministry of works and transport to intervene.

According to Fredrick Oboi, the LC5 vice chairperson Kaberemaido district, the issue of the ferry has caused loggerheads amongst leaders in the district due to the confusion on where the ferry is supposed to be docked and calls upon the ministry of works and transport to clarify on the route of the ferry and its station

Meanwhile the state minister for Teso affairs Hon Agnes Akiror while handing over a dummy cheque of 122.8 million under micro support project for various groups in Kaberemaido district noted that the pledge of the ferry will be fulfilled and called for calm among the locals.
