LC2 court disposes off 2 months land case in Okunguro

A local council two court in Okunguro ward in Bukedea town council on Saturday made judgment in a land case involving social worker Francis Okurut and Gabriel Iriso a secondary school teacher.

The two have been battling over ownership of 15 acres of land with each claiming inheritance rights.

In the ruling read by the secretary General Vincent Ingurat , the court gave the land to Iriso, granting him full ownership.

It comes in only two months after Iriso on December 4th 2019 dragged Okurut before the court.

On 30th January this year, another meeting convened by a mediation committee instituted by the same court to help settle the matter failed to have the two parties agree on a common position.
